Thanksgiving Day – a wonderful time to celebrate with family and friends, consuming vast amounts of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie; watching football and reminiscing about the past year.  It is an enjoyable time of the year as the Christmas season will soon be approaching, along with all the excitement the ensuing month will bring.

But, should it be something more?  Should we reserve only one day a year to truly be thankful for the lives we live each day?  As Americans, we have been so incredibly blessed.  Not just with an incredibly vast amount of material wealth and comfort, but also with numerous relational blessings so many of us cherish.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could live in a state of “thanksgiving” each and every day?  Continuously thankful for the innumerable blessings that God has lavished upon us?  As Thanksgiving Day, 2008 comes to an end, lets continue to kindle our gratitude to our awesome God for His incredible blessings!
