Many of us find ourselves trapped in a vicious cycle of fear and control.  Because we fear the unknown, and the pain we could potentially experience; we seek to control everything and everyone around us.  We deceive ourselves into believing that if we are in control, we can reduce the likelihood of a painful experience.

This, however, is an incredible deception (something often realized too late in life); no matter how effective we are, some circumstances will always remain outside of our control.  This realization then results in “worry” (fear of what may happen), which then drives us once again to seek control.
